The Endocrinology and Diabetes Association (EDA) was officially founded in June 2019. The main purpose of the EDA is to promote the field of endocrinology and diabetes among healthcare professionals in Mauritius through scientific meetings. The EDA also collaborates with other local and international professional associations to provide latest up-to-date information to doctors that will help them in their practice. Since September 2020, the EDA is proudly a member of the International Society of Endocrinology (ISE) and EDA members can enjoy quality medical educational updates through this affiliation.
